Know what the credential does not promise.

SHADOW narrows a disclosure. It does not eliminate every trust, network, browser, or asset-specific limitation.

A threshold is not a continuous guarantee

A verified proof shows that the supplied evidence passed the implemented checks for its stated time and network context. It does not guarantee that the same capital remains controlled later.

XMR has a broader verifier disclosure

A native Monero reserve proof can disclose the address and proved total to the verifier. Do not share an XMR proof with a recipient who should not receive that information.

Browser sessions are temporary

Private wallet sessions can be lost when the tab closes or the browser discards memory. Store recovery material offline before continuing. Browser backgrounding can also interrupt long synchronization work.

Public endpoints can fail or disagree

Verification may report unavailable or disagreement states when asset-network endpoints cannot provide sufficient evidence. SHADOW must not treat those states as verified.

Portable links can be long

Without a persistent proof registry, the complete payload travels with the share link. Large XMR reserve proofs may require a link or .shadow file instead of a single QR code.
